Nuna Pipa- Travel system

Tuesday, April 28, 2015

This post is for my fellow pregnant mamas that are having their first babies! When pregnant with Noah, I felt so overwhelmed by the many brands and items you needed for your baby. There are SO MANY different companies and items people will tell you that you need. The most important thing that you definitely will need is a reliable carseat and stroller. Once again, there are so many to choose from.
Being raised in Sweden, the European strollers are much more different then American models. I tend to like the European style more ;)
I discovered the company Nuna and I absolutely fell in love. Although my stroller is not the euro-bassinet model, I still absolutely love it!
I felt so honored when I was asked to review this product! When Ben and I (mostly Ben) set it up, we could not believe how incredibly light and "chic" it looked. The fabric is very high quality and so soft, which keeps the babe nice and cool. The cushion makes me want to snuggle in there with her. It just looks so comfortable! Olivia falls asleep within 5 minutes in the Nuna Pipa carseat, so I am assuming she loves it.  One of my favorite things about the Pipa is the sun canopy.  The canopy unzips from the hood of the seat and extends all the way to the baby's feet.  The material is actually UV protective fabric and protects the little one from those sunny rays.
Ben has a favorite feature of this company as well.  It, of course, is something that most people wouldn't really consider.  The Nuna pipa car seat base has a little extra safety bar which extends to the floor.  This stood out to him most and really keeps the car seat stable and secure.
The Nuna Pipa carseat can attach to the Nuna Pepp stroller to create a travel system.  Again, it is a very sleek stroller with durable material.  Pushing and turning the stroller requires little effort due to its light weight and easy maneuverability.
The only fault I could find was the storage compartment on the stroller. As a mother of two, I carry bigger bags, which cannot just be tossed and stored underneath. It is able to carry smaller personal bags/items.
In my opinion, the stroller is awesome! Not only does it look chic, it is light, easy to manage/fold/maneuver, has extra safety precautions, and a very comfortable ride for your little one.

Hurry up and check out their baby gear over at www.nuna.eu

Styled two ways- Crochet Shift Dress

Sunday, April 26, 2015

Back when I was pregnant, Cecilia (Dearest Lou) and I started our "styled two ways" series with Pinkblush. We will be styling the same item in two different ways. We took these pictures about a week or two before I had baby O. I apologize for being a little bit slow, but better late then never... right?
This dress is our first piece that we styled. I went for a more relaxed but still feminine look with sandals and a jean jacket. Make sure to visit Cecilia's blog to see more pictures of this look. Stay tuned for more looks coming up, but in the meantime check out www.shoppinkblush.com and do some shopping!

Pregnancy #2

Friday, April 24, 2015

This picture is embarrassing, but oh well! Huge difference between Noah and Olivia, same week!

First off, I must say this pregnancy was so much nicer than my first. Not to mention how FAST it went until that last month hit. I've been lucky with my pregnancies so far, no morning sickness nor complications.  Huge blessing! I really admire women who still continue to have kids through a sometimes very difficult labor. Being able to carry a child for 9 months is such an amazing, beautiful and miraculous experience. I love being pregnant, I love seeing other pregnant women, and I love that "glow" that people talk about. Amongst the love, there are of course some hard parts. I try to focus on the positive rather than the negative. Having a supportive husband is such a blessing. Ben, without fail, would put baby O and my needs first, rub my achy back, and feed me whatever I wanted... I mean whatever Olivia wanted haha.

When I was pregnant with Noah, I didn't know what to expect. I stayed somewhat active, I gained 26 lbs and my recovery wasn't too bad. I definitely had to take a couple of weeks before I even went out walking.
This time around, I was way more active! I knew what to expect, so I was a lot more calm. Because of the way Olivia was positioned, my belly felt so much bigger than with Noah. I gained 22 lbs and generally felt great throughout the entire pregnancy. Fitness has been a HUGE part of my life, and will always be. I cannot say this enough but girls staying healthy and active while pregnant is so important and you will be so glad afterwards.
Make fitness a part of your life, you will feel so much better! Whether you are pregnant or not, being healthy is important.
Today, I'm 10 days post partum. I was blessed with a great delivery (story will come later), and my recovery has been amazing. I have been shocked at how good I actually feel. I even went coaching yesterday! Thank you all for your sweet compliments, and encouraging words, it means a lot to me.

I can't believe I have two kids, time to go snuggle! Have a great weekend.

Freckles on freckles, Part I- BW

Monday, April 20, 2015

You are beautiful, just the way you are.
I have always loved freckles, and wish I had some of my own. A while back, I decided to photograph freckles. I love the different looks, and they're individually just as beautiful.
Here's part I of the black and white edition.
